Our Database Team is the foundation of enterprise-grade databases, delivering secure, compliant, and high-performing database platforms across Azure and AWS. The team provides managed services for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server in a system DBA role to ensure platform reliability, resilience, and operational excellence. In addition, the team supports PaaS and RDS database services by defining policies, enforcing security standards, and managing networking configurations while enabling self-service capabilities for application teams.
Responsibilities:
Implement robust security controls, encryption, and auditing to safeguard sensitive data and meet regulatory requirements.
Oversee patching, upgrades, and end-of-life transitions to maintain platform stability and minimize risk.
Monitor and tune databases for optimal performance across diverse workloads.
Design and deploy automation for provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance to reduce manual intervention and improve operational excellence.
Validate and certify database environments to support mission-critical applications with high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
Provide rapid response and root-cause analysis for database-related incidents to ensure business continuity.
Forecast growth and optimize resources to support evolving business needs.
Requirements:
Experience with cloud platforms: AWS and Azure.
Experience with database IaaS: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
Experience with database PaaS: CosmosDB, MySQL, SQL Managed Instance, RDS Aurora, and MongoDB.
Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Experience with CI/CD and automation tools, including GitHub Actions, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.
Programming and scripting skills in Python, Bash/Shell, and PowerShell.
Experience with Linux/Unix environments such as RHEL and Ubuntu, as well as Windows.
