KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Compliance Testing & Thematic Reviews
Develop and execute annual compliance monitoring and testing plans.
Perform thematic reviews on sales quality, market conduct, customer treatment, claims, complaints and distribution activities.
Conduct file reviews, including Customer Fact Find (CFF), sales documentation and customer communication reviews.
Identify control weaknesses, regulatory breaches and emerging conduct risks.
Assess effectiveness of first line controls and recommend remediation actions.
Sales Quality Reviews
Lead sales quality reviews across agency, bancassurance and partnership channels.
Assess product suitability, advisory quality and adherence to market conduct requirements.
Evaluate sales practices against BNM requirements, Treat Customers Fairly principles and internal policies.
Perform root cause analysis on recurring sales conduct issues.
Regulatory Monitoring
Monitor regulatory developments and assess compliance implications.
Support implementation tracking for regulatory initiatives and remediation actions.
Validate closure of compliance findings and outstanding action plans.
Reporting & Governance
Prepare compliance testing reports, thematic review reports and management updates.
Present findings to Senior Management, ERC, Board Committees and other governance forums.
Track remediation progress and report overdue issues.
Advisory & Training
Provide compliance advisory support on distribution initiatives and sales-related matters.
Conduct awareness sessions on market conduct expectations and sales quality standards
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Degree in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Business, Finance or related field.
5–8 years' experience in Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit or Regulatory Compliance.
Experience conducting reviews, audits, compliance testing or quality assurance reviews within financial services.
Knowledge of insurance/takaful distribution and market conduct requirements.
