Electrical Engineer – PV Construction, Commissioning & O&M, project Dama

We are looking for a motivated and technically capable Electrical Engineer to join our team and support the development, construction, commissioning and subsequent operation and maintenance of a utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) power plant. The successful candidate will initially be involved in the construction and installation phase, ensuring that electrical works are executed in accordance with approved designs, technical specifications, applicable standards and safety requirements. Following completion of construction, the engineer will progressively be involved in electrical testing and commissioning activities, including PV systems, inverters, transformers, MV/HV equipment, protection systems, SCADA and auxiliary systems. After commissioning and handover, the position will transition into an O&M electrical engineering role, supporting preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, fault investigation, performance monitoring and continuous improvement of the PV plant. The position therefore provides the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of the entire lifecycle of a utility-scale renewable energy project.
Main responsibilities:
Supervise electrical construction activities;
Verify installations against approved designs and specifications;
Support PV, inverter, transformer and MV installation;
Participate in electrical testing and commissioning;
Support protection, SCADA and grid-connection testing;
Perform electrical troubleshooting;
Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance;
Investigate equipment failures and alarms;
Monitor plant electrical performance;
Prepare technical reports and maintenance documentation;
Ensure compliance with electrical safety and HSE requirements.
Your profile:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field;
To poses ANRE certification (at least IIIA & IIIB degree);
1–3 years of relevant experience;
Knowledge of electrical power systems;
Good understanding of LV/MV systems;
Ability to read electrical drawings and SLDs;
Knowledge of electrical testing and commissioning;
Previous PV, substation or power-generation experience is an advantage;
Good English skills;
Good MS Office/Excel skills;
Category B driving licence;
Willingness to work on site and travel when required.
