About the Role
A Senior SAP MM Consultant is required to join a long-term international service for a leading company in the retail sector.
The role combines strong functional expertise in procurement and inventory management with international business stakeholder engagement and end-to-end responsibility for logistics and process re-engineering initiatives.
The consultant will design and implement SAP MM solutions for procurement and inventory management processes, ensuring integration with sales flows and the wider SAP ecosystem. The position covers the full delivery lifecycle, from understanding business needs and defining requirements to functional testing and implementation.
Relocation to Madrid is required for this position.
Responsibilities
Meet with international supply chain teams and other business stakeholders to understand their needs and propose suitable SAP implementation alternatives.
Gather, document, validate and manage functional requirements related to procurement and inventory management.
Design functional solutions, working with SAP documents, data models and the required system configuration.
Ensure the integration of procurement and inventory processes with sales flows.
Coordinate dependencies with SAP teams, integration teams and other technical stakeholders.
Prepare and execute functional testing.
Monitor project timelines, stakeholders, dependencies and deliverables.
Take end-to-end ownership of assigned initiatives.
Engage the relevant teams and escalate blockers appropriately when necessary.
Support the business throughout requirements definition, solution design, configuration, testing and delivery.
Requirements
Senior-level experience with SAP MM, typically five or more years.
Practical experience in SAP implementation projects.
Strong knowledge of procurement and inventory management processes.
Experience integrating SAP MM with sales-related processes.
Good understanding of SAP documents, data models and functional configuration.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders.
End-to-end ownership across requirements gathering, documentation, validation, solution design, configuration, testing and coordination.
High-level business and technical English, equivalent in practice to C1.
Ability to lead meetings with international supply chain stakeholders and explain SAP documents, processes and implementation alternatives clearly.
Willingness and availability to relocate to Madrid, Spain.
Hybrid working model based in Madrid (six office days per month).
Nice to Have
Experience in logistics or business process re-engineering projects.
Functional exposure to SAP SD or other SAP modules.
Experience coordinating with integration teams and web front-end teams.
Experience in international retail environments.
Knowledge of brand management or logistics provider processes.
