About the Role
CreditSea is looking for a Software Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to building and scaling our fintech products. The ideal candidate is a strong Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript developer who is comfortable working across the stack, enjoys solving real-world engineering problems, and is excited to build reliable, scalable systems in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend/full-stack applications using Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices powering lending, credit, and financial products
• Work closely with product, data science, and QA teams to integrate ML model outputs into production systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best engineering practices
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Work with MongoDB for schema design, query optimization, and data modeling
• Deploy, monitor, and manage services on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies
• Debug and resolve production issues in a timely manner
• Ensure security and compliance best practices, especially given the sensitivity of financial/credit data
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 1–3 years of professional experience as a Software Developer
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud services
• Exposure to integrating or consuming ML models in application workflows
• Solid understanding of REST API design and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with Git and version-controlled collaborative development
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
Good to Have
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes
• Understanding of financial/lending domain concepts (credit scoring, loan lifecycle, KYC, etc.)
• Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
