Within a broad integrated team, and in collaboration with industry partners (where appropriate), the Service Provider shall provide the following Services, without limitation:
1. creative thinking and provision of strategic advice to on Air Defence Systems (ADS) Branch to shape, design and deliver the commercial strategy to achieve a Best for Defence outcome and implement lessons learned from other similar Projects such
2. preparation of commercial documentation including commercial strategy and approach to market
3. provision of commercial support to engagements with international partners, and supporting the development of relevant artefacts to enable Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) cases as required;
4. ensuring alignment between Branch commercial activities, including through providing input to schedule, budget estimate and other key artefacts, as well as to planning activities for future phases of work;
5. provision of commercial advice on Branch commercial matters, including in relation to issues relating to technical data, confidential information, intellectual property and the provision of government furnished items to industry partners;
6. ensuring a harmonious and synergistic approach to the transition-in of future contracting arrangements under the Branch commercial framework;
7. managing key stakeholder relationships and directing engagement with industry partners to enable industry to be aware of the Commonwealth’s contracting approach, and to enable the development of commercial documentation
8. directing engagement with specialist legal and probity advisers, applying lessons learned from previous Branch engagements, to enable the resolution of complex commercial issues;
9. undertaking substantial knowledge transfer and training activities in order to build internal APS and ADF capability, including in relation to the bespoke requirements of the complementary Head Contract; and
10. other tasks or the provision of advice regarding management of commercial matters and as required for other activities within Branch as notified from time to time by the Commonwealth Representative.
Mandatory requirements:
- Minimum NV1 clearance with ability to obtain NV2. (NV2 Clearance preferred).
- Must be able to work from Brindabella Business Park 5 days per week, CBR location preferred.
- Relevant experience undertaking role responsibilities.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience, preferably within Defence.
- Experience in complex acquisition projects.
