Position: Security Onion Specialist
Type: Contract
Compensation: $90 - $175/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10 40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
Complete assigned workflows in Security Onion using cybersecurity expertise
Navigate features related to network monitoring and incident response
Analyze security alerts, network traffic, and logs effectively
Record screen while demonstrating assigned workflows clearly
Create realistic prompts and detailed rubrics based on tasks
Document workflow steps and explain tools and techniques used
Review task outputs for accuracy and project guideline alignment
Requirements
Strong practical experience with Security Onion for monitoring
Expertise in threat detection and incident investigation
Ability to work independently in a remote setting
Comfortable recording and sharing your screen
Attention to detail with clear communication skills
Experience with human data tasks like data annotation
Familiarity with cybersecurity workflows and technologies
