Job Summary
Airbus is embarking on one of its most critical industrial and supply chain integrations to date as we adsorb vital Tier 1 structures supplier—into our global Supply Chain and Logistics organization, our primary focus is securing business continuity and mitigating operational risk. Central to this monumental effort is the expansion of our Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system, replacing legacy tools with a unified SAP S/4HANA digital ecosystem. We are looking for a Change Specialist based in Belfast who combines battle-tested change management expertise with a forward-thinking mastery of AI technology to steer this high-stakes integration into the future.
The Mission
As a Change Engineer for Project Sparrow, you will strategically architect and drive the deployment of ERP S/4HANA across the newly acquired Belfast site, which focuses on the A220 wings and A220 mid fuselage components. Your mission is to seamlessly integrate these complex aerostructures operations into the core Airbus organization, transition 100% of the impacted scope to our common system, and secure production ramp-ups while safeguarding the daily continuity of our global supply chain.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
Strategic Change Leadership: Architect, own, and execute the localized Change Management Plan for the Belfast site integration. Define the "Case for Change" tailored to a transitioning Tier 1 supplier environment and ensure total business readiness across highly complex supply chain and manufacturing operations.
Training Strategy & Content Governance: Oversee and own the development of comprehensive documentation and high-quality learning materials using SAP Enable Now, ensuring alignment with the progressive rollout of the new S/4HANA platform across the former Spirit operations.
Deployment & Hypercare Orchestration: Design the global deployment framework locally and lead "Train the Trainer" initiatives to ensure flawless end-user adoption among hundreds impacted employees. Structure and lead the post-implementation hypercare phase, establishing robust "How Do I" support governance.
Project Management: Manage complex modifications within the classical “waterfall” environment and own the capability to shift to an agile governance (manage complex modifications within SAFe/Agile sprint cycles, seamlessly synchronizing content development with ambitious integration timelines).
High-Level Stakeholder Synergy: Serve as the primary liaison and strategic bridge between the Belfast integration team, local executive operations, and the core ERP Change Team, leveraging high-level networking to secure organizational buy-in during a sensitive M&A transition.
AI-Driven Transformation: Champion the use of AI and data analytics to predict deployment risks, analyze macroeconomic business impacts, and automate predictive reporting within the integration change pipeline.
ABOUT YOU
Be educated to degree level in Manufacturing Engineering, Production or Supply-chain, together with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Aerospace or related complex industries (e.g., Automotive, Defence)
OR
Be educated to HNC level in Manufacturing Engineering, Production or Supply-chain, together with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in Aerospace or related complex industries (e.g., Automotive, Defence).
Experience: Extensive, proven track record in leading large-scale Change Management initiatives, specifically within Aerospace M&A, automotive integrations, or a similarly complex, international industrial supply chain. Direct experience with Tier 1 structures suppliers is a major asset.
Tech Intelligence & SAP: Strong proficiency in AI applications to enhance process analysis, risk forecasting, and strategic decision-making. Previous experience leading SAP environments or S/4HANA transitions during corporate carve-ins/integrations is highly desirable.
Methodology: Mastery of classical “waterfall” project management and experience with SAFe/Agile frameworks, paired with a demonstrated history of data-driven problem solving in high-pressure, risk-mitigation environments.
Mindset: A highly autonomous, transparent leader who excels at senior-level negotiation, conflict resolution, and driving "win-win" solutions across cross-functional and newly integrated organizational borders.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in French and/or German is a distinct advantage.
