Studio Navee is a boutique interior design practice based in Mumbai and New Delhi, working across residential, boutique hospitality, retail, and commercial spaces. We work on projects of different scales and characters — from intimate residences and apartments to boutique hospitality spaces, restaurants, retail stores, and commercial environments. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Interior Designer to join our Mumbai team. This is a full-time, hybrid role, with flexibility to work from home depending on project requirements.
We are looking for someone who is excited by design and wants to work in a small, collaborative, and design-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and interested in being involved beyond just producing drawings.
You will work closely with senior designers and the wider team across different stages of residential, hospitality, retail, and commercial projects. The role will provide exposure to concept development, space planning, material selection, detailing, presentations, site coordination, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Assist senior designers in developing design concepts, space plans, layouts, and design presentations.
Prepare and develop working and construction drawings under the guidance of senior designers.
Assist with mood boards, material palettes, presentations, and design documentation.
Research and coordinate FF&E, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories.
Assist with vendor coordination, material samples, quotations, and selections.
Participate in site visits, measurements, and site coordination as required.
Attend client meetings and assist in translating client requirements into design solutions.
Maintain project drawings, documentation, schedules, and design information.
Coordinate with the internal team and external consultants/vendors to ensure projects progress smoothly.
Contribute ideas and creative input across projects.
Work towards project timelines while maintaining the studio’s design and documentation standards.
What We’re Looking For
A degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
A strong interest in interiors, architecture, materials, furniture, and design.
Understanding of space planning, proportions, materials, and basic construction detailing.
Basic knowledge of construction drawings and interior documentation.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, PowerPoint, or similar design software.
Strong visual communication and presentation skills.
Good attention to detail and an ability to understand and execute design direction.
A proactive and solution-oriented approach to work.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards deadlines.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
