The Role and Impact
As a Platform Hardware Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and developing cutting-edge platform hardware solutions. In this role, you will drive the development of electronic components, PCBs, and integrated circuitry for advanced hardware platforms. Your work will directly contribute to delivering high-quality boards and systems that meet multidisciplinary requirements, ensuring compatibility and reliability across hardware and software components.

Key Responsibilities
- Translate platform-level requirements into circuit and component-level specifications.
- Design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic parts, components, PCBs, and integrated circuitry for hardware platforms.
- Conduct logical design of printed circuit boards, including component definition, schematic capture, and circuit trace routing rules.
- Manage board layout activities from feasibility studies to tape out while meeting multidisciplinary platform requirements.
- Assess BOM cost and availability data, balancing design trade-offs at the board and system levels.
- Collaborate with architects, design engineers, verification engineers, and technicians to lead platform hardware power-on and debug activities.
- Incorporate feedback from verification, validation, manufacturing, and customers to enhance development methods.
- Perform design research, verification, testing, and utilization of components, materials, thermal solutions, and packaging for platform hardware.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of hands-on experience in hardware systems design OR Master's degree in a related field with 3+ years of experience OR PhD with no prior professional experience.
- Proficiency in electrical schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
- Hands-on experience designing PCBs, integrated circuitry, and other electronic components.
- Demonstrated expertise in logical design and component definition.
- Familiarity with BOM cost analysis and trade-offs at board and system levels.
- Cadence Concept HDL
- BOM Cost Analysis, BOM Optimization
- Vendor Interaction & ODM interaction
- High Speed Board design, TBT, LPDDDR5

- Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience collaborating with validation, verification, and manufacturing teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex hardware systems.
