Team Overview
The Corporate Affairs & Communications team helps build and protect TransUnion’s reputation as a global information and insights business that makes trust possible in global commerce. Working across the UK and Europe, the team delivers corporate, external and internal communications, including reputation, issues and incident communications and selected client communications.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Communications in Europe, Africa and Asia, with a dotted reporting line to the Head of Marketing for the UK, and works closely with Global Brand Management & Marketing.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
Lead the UK and Spain corporate communications and PR strategy, ensuring activity aligns with wider international and global frameworks and processes.
Plan and deliver insights- and issues-led campaigns around key topics, including regulatory and industry-specific change, supporting corporate reputation and wider business objectives.
Support corporate, communications and marketing priorities, including product announcements, research and thought leadership, brand-building initiatives, partnerships and employer-of-choice programmes.
Lead crisis and incident communications as a key member of the Data Incident Response Team (DIRT), while advising senior stakeholders on wider communications matters, including speeches, events and reputation-related client communications.
Manage the in-region internal communications programme in partnership with the Director of International Internal Communications, enabling effective stakeholder outreach, knowledge sharing and coordination around key initiatives.
Manage regional PR agencies and other communications suppliers, while maintaining core corporate communications materials including strategies, activity plans, key messages, briefing documents, media contacts and issues trackers.
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and spokespeople, identifying media opportunities and providing coaching on interview best practice and external media training where required.
Monitor the media and competitive environment to identify emerging opportunities and issues, providing relevant insight and feedback to stakeholders across the business.
Measure and report communications KPIs and evaluation metrics in-region and internationally, ensuring activity supports wider business strategic goals, while coaching direct reports and supporting development across the wider Corporate Affairs & Communications function.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Strong corporate communications and media knowledge, with the ability to identify opportunities and advise on issues that could affect corporate reputation.
Demonstrated experience of stakeholder management, relationship building and influencing senior stakeholders and spokespeople.
Experience managing complex communications projects and integrated campaigns, including activity involving public affairs and wider marketing disciplines.
Ability to quickly assimilate complex and technical information and translate it into clear, relevant communications for different audiences.
Degree-level education and relevant professional training.
Required Technical Skills
Strong analytical and numerical capability, including the ability to measure, evaluate and report communications KPIs.
Strong project management, organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
Working knowledge of corporate communications, PR, media relations, internal communications and social media.
Ability to develop and maintain communications materials including messaging, briefing documents, media information, activity plans and issues trackers.
Desired Skills
Creative and proactive approach to identifying communications opportunities and developing campaigns.
Experience working across multiple markets or with international communications stakeholders.
Experience coaching or developing junior talent.
Broader knowledge of marketing disciplines and integrated campaigning.
Ability to operate flexibly across corporate, internal, client and reputation communications initiatives.
