Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Delivery Associate role based in Goalpara. The Delivery Associate is responsible for picking up parcels from local hubs, verifying shipment details, and delivering packages to customers within assigned routes while maintaining timely and accurate service. Daily tasks include handling parcels with care, collecting proof of delivery, communicating with customers regarding deliveries, and coordinating with the operations team on any issues or delays. The role involves following safety and traffic regulations, maintaining basic documentation, and using mobile applications or handheld devices for navigation, scanning, and status updates. The Delivery Associate is expected to provide courteous customer interaction and support Delhivery’s standards for reliability and professionalism.
Qualifications
Customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and basic Training to handle queries and ensure a positive delivery experience.
Foundational Logistics Management and Transportation skills to manage routes, follow delivery schedules, and handle parcels efficiently.
Experience in Food & Beverage or similar field service roles can be beneficial for managing time-sensitive deliveries and working in dynamic environments.
Valid driving license (as per local regulations) and familiarity with local routes in and around Goalpara.
Ability to use smartphones and delivery apps for navigation, scanning, and status updates.
Physical ability to lift and transport parcels within reasonable weight limits, and to work in various weather conditions.
Basic reading and writing skills in English and/or local language, with the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong focus on safety, integrity, and teamwork.
