Manager Indirect EMEA – Commercial Strategy, Advertising & Data Insights (Consumer Audio)
A Career at HARMAN Lifestyle:
We’re a global, multi-disciplinary team that’s putting the innovative power of technology to work and transforming tomorrow. As a member of HARMAN Lifestyle, you connect consumers with the power of superior sound.
Contribute your talents to high-end, esteemed brands like JBL, Harman Kardon, Mark Levinson and Revel.
Unite your passion for audio innovation with high-tech product development.
Create pitch-perfect, cutting-edge technology that elevates the listening experience.
What You’ll Be Part Of:
The Purpose of the role is to own the growth and execution of the Amazon EMEA business for Consumer Audio — connecting commercial strategy, advertising investment, merchandising/retail execution, and data & analytics into one coherent operating model. Acts as the primary interface between Amazon Advertising, internal HARMAN teams, and agency partners, translating strategy into clear ownership, scalable data-driven processes, and measurable results.
This is a commercially accountable role, requiring strong P&L understanding and responsibility for managing and optimizing an annual advertising investment of €10M+. The role must be able to balance revenue growth, profitability and return on investment, translating significant marketing investments into measurable business results.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role has direct 3 reports of the team to implement organizational objectives to grow online business in EMEA. The team consists of:
1 Merchandise Specialist
1 Advertising Specialist
1 Data Analyst
How You’ll Make An Impact:
Lead Amazon EMEA strategy and planning, linking commercial priorities, full-funnel advertising (budget allocation, performance, optimization), and merchandising/retail execution (PDPs, Brand Stores, promotions).
Own governance with Amazon Advertising/Retail and manage the performance-management rhythm (MBRs, QBRs, forecasts, investment reviews).
Lead planning for key Amazon moments (Prime Day, BFCM, NPI launches) and manage/challenge agency partners on accountability and continuous improvement.
Advise Amazon stakeholders (sales, marketing, supply chain) on strategic data requests; supervise weekly/monthly/post-campaign reporting.
Define and drive the team's data strategy — tech stack, tools, reporting model — including a roll-out plan for modern/AI-driven tools to reduce reporting dependency and increase self-service across the indirect team.
Use visualization and presentations to challenge the commercial organization and drive change in data culture and decision-making.
Lead, coach and develop a team spanning advertising, merchandising and data specialists, building clear ownership and growth paths.
Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations and EMEA leadership to surface dependencies, risks and growth opportunities.
What Makes You A Strong Fit:
At least 6 years in Amazon/eCommerce, digital marketing, or strategic online accounts, with strong command of Amazon's commercial and advertising ecosystem (Vendor Central, Advertising Console, Amazon Marketing Cloud).
Proven experience in performance marketing, retail media and digital merchandising, plus managing budgets/forecasts against targets and external agencies.
Advanced analytical skillset: Excel, Power Query, SQL, Power BI; working Python knowledge (Pandas/NumPy) a strong plus.
Track record turning complex data into clear business recommendations and influencing stakeholders through visualization/storytelling.
People-leadership experience, ideally having managed both commercial/advertising and data specialists.
Strong stakeholder management across functions and countries; comfortable prioritizing in a fast-moving environment.
Things To Know:
Success in the Role: A clear, scalable connection between commercial strategy, media investment, retail execution and data-driven decision-making — supported by a strong, well-developed team and modern, largely self-service reporting infrastructure across Amazon EMEA.
What You Can Expect:
A hybrid work environment that balances flexibility with in-person collaboration, with most office-based roles onsite three days a week.
Access to employee discounts on HARMAN and Samsung products (including JBL, Harman / Kardon, AKG, and others).
Learning and development opportunities through our award-winning HARMAN University programs.
Wellness benefits designed to support your overall well-being.
Tuition reimbursement support.
Access to the HARMAN campus fitness center and cafeteria, where available.
An inclusive and diverse work environment that supports both your professional and personal development.
