Finance Business Partner (Commercial & Supply Chain)

About the Role
We are looking for a Finance Business Partner (Commercial & Supply Chain) to join our growing Strategic Finance team at unybrands. The position reports to the Director of Strategic Finance, and has full ownership of reporting and analysis deliverables.
The FP&A / Finance Business Partner will partner closely with Unybrands’ Commercial, and Supply Chain teams to support our most important operational decisions. The role will focus on driving profitable growth across Unybrands’ brand portfolio, with particular focus on purchasing decisions, working capital investments, product portfolio and pricing decisions.
You will bring a forward-looking perspective to planning and decision-making, challenge assumptions and translate operational plans into clear financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
Own forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis for your business area.
Analyse revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, costs, and working capital.
Support pricing, promotions, product mix, channel, and product portfolio decisions.
Business Partnering & Decision Support
Serve as the primary finance contact for Commercial, Supply Chain, Revenue Operations, and People teams.
Translate financial and operational KPIs into clear insights and actions.
Challenge assumptions, connect operational decisions to P&L and cash-flow outcomes, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
Supply Chain & Working Capital
Partner on inventory, procurement, fulfilment, logistics, and working capital decisions.
Analyse inventory turns, availability, obsolescence, and supply-chain costs.
Identify opportunities to improve costs, cash flow, and operational efficiency.
Strategic Initiatives & Business Cases
Evaluate strategic initiatives - new product launches, market expansions, acquisition targets, and tooling investments - through financial modelling and ROI analysis.
Build business cases and quantify the financial impact of major initiatives, including new brand, channel, or geographic launches, and connect them to financial operations.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Background
Experience in Consulting, Investment Banking, FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance or Strategic Finance.
Experience in e-commerce, consumer products, retail, distribution or another physical-product business.
Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business; a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA) in progress or newly qualified is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage workstreams and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.
Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including complex financial modelling and data analysis.
Experience with Python, SQL, or VBA is a strong advantage.
Proven ability to work with large datasets and translate analysis into clear, concise business insights.
Solid understanding of financial statements, management accounting principles, and business performance metrics.

Strong commercial mindset and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to non-finance stakeholders.
