Responsibilities:
T. Hybrid tech-lead + delivery-owner role, not a pure PM and not a pure hands-on ML engineer. The hire must be comfortable reviewing architecture in the morning and owning SOW margins in the afternoon.
Client-facing technical partner for an account: the client will treat this person as their "AI go-to. " Soft skills are optional; they are a hard gating criterion.
Production AI mandate: moving things from PoC to scalable production is the explicit ask. Candidates who've only done PoCs/prototypes will not survive the role.
People + P& L ownership: full-stack people leadership (hiring, perf, comp conversations) AND commercial ownership (SOW, effort estimation, resourcing, P& L). This is a manager-of-managers scope, not a tech lead scope.
Innovation + evangelism layer must bring external GenAI/agentic AI trends into the account. Stale-on-GenAI = disqualifier.
Kiro's mention is a tell that Kiro is Amazon's new agentic IDE. Calling it out as "strongly preferred" means the hiring manager wants someone actively using AI-assisted dev tooling daily. Don't ignore this signal.
