Founding Engineer

Requirements:
Build and scale backend systems using Node.js and Python.
Design and develop AI-powered voice agents and supporting backend infrastructure.
Work on high-scale, low-latency systems where performance and reliability are critical.
Design and build microservices and distributed systems.
Take ownership of features from 01 including architecture, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Integrate AI/LLM and voice technologies into production applications.
Work closely with the founding team to define technical architecture and product direction.
Debug complex production issues and continuously improve system performance and reliability.
Build scalable APIs, services, integrations, and data pipelines.
Requirements:
2-5 years of strong software engineering experience.
Hands-on experience with Node.js and Python or similar.
Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
Strong understanding of databases, caching, queues, and asynchronous systems.
Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
Comfortable working in a startup environment with high ownership and ambiguity.
Good To Have:
Experience building Voice AI / Conversational AI agents.
Experience with high-concurrency and low-latency systems.
Experience with LLMs, RAG, function calling, or AI agents.
Experience with technologies such as Redis, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP.
Experience working on real-time communication systems such as WebSockets, WebRTC, or streaming APIs.
