Role Overview
We are looking for a Director / Head of Technology to lead our technology strategy, engineering, architecture, AI initiatives, and technology delivery. This role is ideal for a technology leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on technical leadership and can build scalable technology capabilities aligned with business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute NextAmp's technology strategy, roadmap, architecture principles, and engineering standards.
Lead engineering, architecture, AI, cloud, data, and infrastructure initiatives.
Design and govern scalable, secure, highly available enterprise applications and platforms.
Drive modernization of legacy applications and adoption of modern architectures.
Lead AI/GenAI initiatives, including LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, MCP, function calling, evaluation, and AI orchestration.
Drive cloud modernization across AWS and Azure, including infrastructure, security, scalability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
Establish engineering best practices across software development, CI/CD, DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, observability, and production operations.
Partner with clients and business leaders on solution architecture, technical discussions, proposals, and strategic technology initiatives.
Establish technology governance, cybersecurity standards, and compliance practices.
Build and mentor high-performing engineering and technical teams.
Define technology KPIs and drive reliability, engineering productivity, delivery quality, and continuous improvement.
Required Technical Expertise
10+ years of technology experience with significant technical leadership experience.
Strong background in Software Architecture and Enterprise Application Development.
Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure.
Experience with Microservices, APIs, Event-Driven Architecture, and Distributed Systems.
Strong understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI, including LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, Prompt Engineering, and Model Evaluation.
Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, Monitoring, and Observability.
Experience with databases, data platforms, integrations, and enterprise architecture.
Strong understanding of Cybersecurity and Cloud Security.
Experience with architecture governance, technology standards, and technical documentation.
Exposure to enterprise platforms such as Microsoft, Salesforce, ServiceNow, NetSuite, or Power BI is a plus.
