TechOps Engineer

ABOUT THE TEAM & ROLE
Our SRE / Production Engineering team is responsible for keeping Talon.One reliable, scalable, and easy to operate. We work closely with engineering teams across R&D to improve how we monitor, release, troubleshoot, and run our production systems.
We are looking for a TechOps Engineer to join the team and help us continuously improve our operational workflows and tooling. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving operational problems, automating repetitive work, and making things easier and safer for the engineers around them.
ONCE YOU ARE HERE, YOU WILL:
Identify repetitive or manual operational work and build automation to eliminate it
Improve operational workflows, processes, and runbooks to make them more reliable and scalable
Configure and improve our Incident.io workflows, automations, integrations, and incident management processes
Maintain and improve monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and other observability tooling
Investigate operational issues using logs, metrics, and other production data
Work with SREs and engineering teams to identify operational pain points and turn them into practical improvements
Build scripts, internal tooling, and integrations that reduce operational toil
Occasionally support the SRE team with database maintenance and operational database tasks
Participate in incident response and contribute to making our incident management process better over time
Help improve release and deployment workflows where they impact production reliability
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
2–4+ years of experience in TechOps, DevOps, SRE, Production Engineering, or a similar technical role
Experience working with production systems in a SaaS or cloud environment
Comfortable working with Linux, command-line tools, logs, and monitoring
Experience with scripting or automation and a mindset of "if we do it twice, can we automate it?"
A structured approach to troubleshooting and solving operational problems
Proactive attitude towards improving systems, processes, and tooling
Ability to work collaboratively with engineers across different teams
Willingness to learn and build deeper expertise in production systems and reliability
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with Incident.io or similar incident management tooling
Experience with observability platforms such as Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus, or Sentry
Experience with Kubernetes and GCP
Experience working with APIs and building integrations
Experience with CI/CD or infrastructure automation
Experience improving on-call, incident management, or operational processes
