In Vietnam, Abbott’s Established Pharmaceuticals Division has committed to enhance the care of patients. Our products cover several therapeutic areas, including gastroenterology, women health, cardiology, primary care, specialty and food supplement. Our key prescription products include Lipanthyl, Klacid, Duphaston, Drosperin and BetaSerc. Our key over-the-counter products are Duphalac, CG210, Estraceptin, Brufen, Fatig, Surbex. MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Associate Market Access Manager supports the execution of Market Access strategies by coordinating cross-functional activities and managing key operational processes related to pricing, reimbursement, and policy. The role collects and analyzes market data, prepares documentation and reports, and supports stakeholder engagement initiatives. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the Associate Market Access Manager helps ensure timely execution of projects and contributes to improving patient access to company products.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Pricing Data & System Administration
• Manage the Paradigm account and Act as the primary point of contact with Finance and Supply Chain teams to collect, consolidate, and maintain required data on Paradigm, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely updates.
Pricing Submission & Negotiation Support
• Prepare and submit price declaration dossiers for AHVN and Legacy/FIE products.
• Prepare and compile price negotiation dossiers (Step 1) under the guidance of the Senior Market Access Manager by collecting required information and coordinating with relevant stakeholders
• Draft preliminary response documents for requests and inquiries from Ministry authorities.
Market Intelligence & Analysis
• Conduct preliminary assessments of competitor products using tender and DAV data, prepare initial analyses and recommendations on New Product Introduction (NPI) opportunities to support decision-making by the Market Access Director.
• Coordinate with Marketing and Tender teams on product-related matters, gather market and stakeholder feedback, and consolidate relevant inputs to support data analysis, market assessments, and business decision-making.
Stakeholder Engagement & Policy Monitoring
• Meet and communicate with NCPC (staff level) to discuss updates and requirements.
• Engage and maintain working relationships with stakeholders at the Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV) Pricing Department.
• Participate in policy discussions, industry forums, and stakeholder engagements related to tendering and price negotiations to gather market insights and stay informed of emerging trends that may impact Market Access strategies.
• Support the Senior Market Access Manager to engage external stakeholders and follow up on ongoing projects.
Policy Reporting & Business Support
• Support the Senior Market Access Manager in preparing internal policy reports and updates.
• Work closely with the Senior Market Access Manager to understand key business needs and provide Market Access support to Brand Teams.
BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Bachelor Degree: University degree of Medical/Pharmacy qualification
• More than 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. At least 2 years of experience in tender management, pricing, policy, and project management.
• Ability to interpret and integrate Market Access strategies into actionable, value-added planning activities
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and strong ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Professional behavior with “can-do” and “open mind” attitudes
• Winning mentality, dynamic, innovative, customer focus and cross-functional team player
• Language Skill: English
