This role combines hands-on generalist HR delivery — employee relations, performance management, and execution of cyclical HR processes — with strategic workforce planning and organizational-effectiveness work across a distributed, multi-time-zone client group. The HR Manager also serves as the region's point of contact for global HR colleagues, helping maintain program consistency and compliance across three distinct legal and cultural environments.
Key Responsibilities
Trusted Advisor & Strategic Partner
Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to department leaders, acting as their primary HR point of contact.
Create and implement tailored people strategies that directly align with strategic objectives and contribute to long-term growth.
Anticipate organizational needs and proactively identify challenges related to talent, structure, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
Partner with leaders and the Talent Acquisition team to create and implement effective talent acquisition and retention strategies.
Lead and influence cross-functional initiatives, ensuring seamless execution from strategy development to implementation.
Navigate complex employee relations issues with sensitivity and discretion, balancing the needs of the business with a people-first approach.
Talent, Workforce & Succession Planning
Lead strategic workforce planning and headcount forecasting across India, Australia, and the U.K. to support technology, finance, and print-operations growth.
Partner with Talent Acquisition to build and maintain talent pipelines for critical technical, finance, and print/product roles.
Lead succession planning and development planning for high-potential talent across the IT, Finance, and AEM Print client groups.
Execution of HR Cyclical Processes
Own the employee relations investigation process for the region, ensuring objective, consistent practice across all three countries.
Coach and counsel managers on performance management, embedding consistent practices and tools across India, Australia, and the U.K.
Partner with global Centers of Excellence (Total Rewards, Talent, Benefits) to execute compensation, performance, and talent cycles across the region, including manager training, communications, and required data audits.
Partner with Total Rewards on pay equity, merit planning, and incentive design appropriate to each local market, including competitive technical-talent compensation in India.
Liaise on leave programs, accommodations, and return-to-work coordination per local requirements.
HR Systems & Compliance
Maintain current working knowledge of India, Australia, and U.K. employment law, ensuring policies and practices remain compliant in each jurisdiction.
Partner with Legal on labor relations matters, statutory requirements, or works-council/union engagement where applicable.
Serve as the primary point of contact with the company's Employer of Record partner, Globalization Partners (G-P), overseeing onboarding, contract changes, offboarding, and payroll/benefits compliance for employees engaged through the EOR model.
Monitor G-P's service-level performance and partner with the vendor to resolve employee relations, compensation, or compliance matters consistent with company policy and local law.
Champion adoption of core HR systems and tools (e.g., case management, HRIS, AI-enabled HR technology) to drive efficiency and compliance across the region.
Monitor and proactively mitigate employee relations and compliance risk across the region, including data-privacy considerations.
Global & Regional Coordination
Serve as the India/AEM point of contact for global HR colleagues, providing guidance on program consistency and alignment with global HR standards.
Coordinate, without formal supervisory authority, on cross-border talent and culture initiatives with the LatAm HR Manager and broader global HR team.
Contribute to enterprise-wide HR strategy, policy, and resource-allocation discussions given the strategic scope of the region.
