Job Description
Purpose of the role
To manage the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting.
Accountabilities
Management of the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, and other accounting records in accordance with the relevant accounting standards, rules and regulations.
Support in identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks, and report on these financial risks to senior colleagues.
Development and maintenance of a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure that there is no fraudulent misreporting, and ensure the accuracy of financial data, including regular assessment of the effectiveness of internal controls addressing any weaknesses or gaps. .
Development and implementation of up-to-date financial policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective financial practices across the organisation.
Management of the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software applications, including collaboration with IT colleagues to integrate financial systems with other enterprise systems.
Preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory reports to authorities, and provision of support to other departments in their preparation and review of regulatory reports.
Coordination with external auditors and regulatory authorities in support of audits and examinations.

Join us as AVP - Financial Control, where you will lead the preparation and review of RBI regulatory reporting submissions, manage a team of finance professionals, and ensure compliance with financial control and reporting standards. You will play a key role in regulatory inspections, audits, stakeholder management, and driving process automation within the Finance function.
To be successful in this role, you should:
Prepare, review, and oversee RBI regulatory returns and disclosures, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
Manage regulatory reporting related to Capital Adequacy, ALM, Treasury returns, and other RBI requirements.
Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, internal financial control standards, and applicable accounting frameworks including Indian GAAP, IFRS, and Ind AS.
Act as a key Finance contact during regulatory inspections, audits, and reviews.
Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, and Business teams to support regulatory reporting obligations.
Drive automation, process improvements, and reporting transformation initiatives.
Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
Experience in the Indian banking industry.
Strong understanding of RBI regulations relating to Capital Adequacy, ALM, Treasury reporting, and regulatory returns.
Comprehensive knowledge of RBI requirements applicable to foreign banks operating in India across Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, and Treasury products.
Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, IFRS, and Ind AS.
Experience in internal financial controls, financial audits, and regulatory inspections.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within a demanding regulatory environment.
Desirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in driving regulatory reporting automation and transformation initiatives.
Experience in leading, coaching, and developing finance professionals.
Experience managing auditor and regulator interactions.
Strong cross-functional collaboration experience across Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, and Business teams.
Demonstrated focus on process improvement, control enhancement, and continuous improvement.
