About the Role
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the MDR Engineering team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering, this role partners closely with DevOps Engineers, SREs, and Software Engineers to support and enhance the ConnectED Cloud and ConnectED Reach platforms. This is a hybrid role with approximately 50% focus on DevOps and platform operations and 50% focus on software development, leveraging automation, cloud technologies, and AI-assisted development practices to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and enhance the reliability, scalability, security, and operational readiness of production and non-production environments.
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operational tooling.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, QA, Security, and Cloud teams to support releases and production deployments.
Implement and improve monitoring, observability, logging, alerting, and incident response processes.
Troubleshoot issues across Linux and Windows systems, networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, web servers, databases, APIs, and cloud platforms.
Support cloud migration, platform modernization, vulnerability remediation, patching, disaster recovery, and operational documentation.
Participate in production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvements.
Design, develop, test, and deploy new product features and enhancements.
Utilize AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation while adhering to engineering best practices.
Key Skills:
8+ years of experience with Chef, Ansible, and configuration management tools.
5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation/CDK).
Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Harness, JFrog Artifactory, X-Ray, and SonarQube.
Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as ELK Stack and Splunk.
Strong Linux Administration skills, including networking, SSL/TLS, and system troubleshooting.
3+ years of software development experience.
Experience with Apache Tomcat, Apache Web Server, or similar technologies.
Strong understanding of AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures.
Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively in Agile and cross-functional teams.
