B2B E-commerce Tech Lead

Your role as Customer Portal Tech Lead is to own the technical direction of the NETZSCH Customer Portal from the Business Unit Grinding and Dispersing, built on Salesforce B2B Commerce and integrated with SAP S/4HANA. You define architecture and technical priorities, coordinate the workstreams that keep the platform evolving (UX, Salesforce development, SAP integration, quality, support and AI), and make sure what the business needs is what actually gets delivered, with scalability, quality and stability built in from the start.
Responsibilities
Define the portal's technical roadmap and priorities together with business stakeholders;
Own Salesforce architecture and standards: data model, LWC and Apex development guidelines, security and performance;
Lead the evolution of B2B Commerce capabilities in line with business needs;
Define the Salesforce and SAP integration architecture, including middleware strategy, interface design, scalability and resilience;
Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and manage dependencies across the development team and partners;
Run backlog management, release planning and delivery governance;
Oversee sustainment: incident and ticket management, Salesforce administration, SAP integration triage and escalation, platform health reporting;
Prioritize AI use cases for the portal, defining experimentation paths, data requirements and scaling logic;
Ensure user journey and usability improvements stay aligned with the NETZSCH brand;
Authority to make final technical decisions on architecture, standards and quality gates;
Authority to approve or hold releases against defined release criteria;
Right to propose prioritization and reject requirements that compromise platform stability.
Required Skills
5+ years in Salesforce development or architecture, with at least 2 years in a technical lead role;
Hands-on experience with Salesforce B2B Commerce;
Strong command of LWC, Apex, SOQL, the Salesforce security model and platform limits;
Experience integrating Salesforce with SAP (S/4HANA or ECC) through middleware such as SAP Integration Suite (CPI), using REST, SOAP, OData or IDocs;
Salesforce DevOps experience: SFDX, Git and CI/CD pipelines (Copado, Gearset, GitHub Actions or similar);
Excellent English language skills and experience working with international stakeholders;
Structured, self-reliant working style with the ability to balance business pressure and technical quality.
Nice to Have
Salesforce certifications such as Application Architect, B2B Commerce Developer or Platform Developer II;
Exposure to AI in Salesforce (Einstein, Agentforce) or LLM-based use cases.
