About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

As an Analyst or Associate in Global Insurance Structuring, you will help develop customized financial solutions for insurers alongside Sales & Trading partners across asset classes (Rates, Credit, Equity). The environment is highly entrepreneurial and fast-paced: your work will range from longer-term strategic projects (e.g., balance-sheet and capital topics) to tactical, market-driven trade ideas.
You will build strong market and product knowledge (e.g. derivatives products) to support idea generation and execution across the platform. You will interact with senior stakeholders internally and externally and contribute directly to client strategies across Continental Europe and Asia. You will also support the production of client materials and idea generation alongside structurers, salespeople, and traders, while developing deep industry knowledge of the insurance sector and its evolving regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Produce high-quality client-facing materials (e.g., pitchbooks, peer analysis, trade-specific notes, bespoke presentations), leveraging company, sector, and market analysis to support marketing efforts and client roadshows across Continental Europe and Asia, as well as both specific trade ideas and longer-term projects.
Develop strong industry knowledge and maintain awareness of market dynamics, regulatory developments, and key themes impacting insurance companies.
Contribute to the development of tailored solutions for insurers, including risk hedging, capital optimization, and investment solutions.
Partner with Institutional Sales and Trading teams (Rates/Credit/Equity) to deliver differentiated content and executable structures.
Analyze client objectives and constraints (economic, accounting, regulatory, capital, liquidity) and translate them into practical cross-asset solutions; conduct in-depth assessment of client needs to customize proposals accordingly.
Communicate complex financial concepts clearly and succinctly to a broad range of internal and external audiences.
Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders (Sales, Trading, Risk, Legal/Documentation, other structuring teams) and external clients.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Strong intellectual curiosity; fast learner with a genuine interest in insurance and markets.
Strong quantitative skills, with the ability to work across accounting, quantitative finance, and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal): clear, concise, and confident.
High work ethic; comfortable operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and engaging with senior stakeholders.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Programming capability (Python; MATLAB is a plus) for analysis and automation.
Resilient, autonomous, and highly attentive to detail.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Quantitative Finance, Engineering, Mathematics/Physics, or Actuarial Science.
Actuarial qualification (part-qualified or fully qualified) is a plus.
Additional European language skills are a plus, alongside fluency in English (e.g. German, Italian, Dutch)
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
