Technical Sales Specialist

The role of Technical Sales Specialist is to assist and drive sales efforts. The Technical Sales Specialist will support end-to-end customer evaluations, distributors and be the first point of contact for higher-level customer technical enquiries.
This is a temporary position with a one-year term.
Key Responsibilities
Work with Regional Sales Managers to close sales opportunities with customers.
Strategically structure and prepare the scope of work for field-testing to showcase Blackline’s solutions and provide results.
Configure web-based account settings for optimal performance based on customer requirements.
Train potential customers and distributors on the Blackline product line and web portal solutions and assist with deployments.
Manage product and service evaluations during the customer buying cycle.
Prepare reports for customers that summarize the performance of our products and services.
Schedule feedback sessions with potential customers, listen to their needs and adjust the solutions as required.
Manage the sales demo inventory.
About You
Minimum 2 years in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or customer support roles, with proven experience in international B2B sales, product demos, training delivery, and CRM/iERP systems.
Post-secondary education in Business or a related technical discipline.
Previous project management experience.
Demonstrate advanced verbal and written business communication skills that are clear, concise and professional.
Experience of international business, and supporting customers outside the UK preferred.
Possess a technical capacity and can understand and discuss technical issues and approach them proactively.
Comfortable with technology including GPS, GSM and web applications.
Proven track record of being able to learn new technologies and processes quickly, and apply the knowledge gained to support customers effectively.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot), iERP systems, and Microsoft Office 365.
