Your role at a glance
The Treasury Analyst is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for working within the broader Finance team and is responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data.
This role typically works with a variety of different types of information, including but not limited to accounting records, market indicators, economic reports and more, and uses this information to make predictions about future events or trends.
This role may also be tasked with presenting their findings in an easy-to-understand format that can be easily communicated to other business stakeholders.
What we are looking for
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cash Flow & Liquidity Management
Preparation and monitoring of rolling cash flow forecasts (minimum 6 months), including key financial KPIs such as Debt-to-Equity Ratio, Quick Ratio, and other liquidity metrics.
Ensuring adequate funding availability for operational requirements, capital expenditure, and debt servicing obligations.
Continuous monitoring and analysis of cash positions and liquidity requirements across all entities.
Preparation of 18-month cash flow forecasts for entities requiring Letters of Support.
Funding of local bank accounts through the In-House Bank (IHB) in coordination with the Accounts Payable team.
Management of intercompany balances and liabilities/receivables arising from cash pooling arrangements.
Funding, Debt & Capital Management
Understanding and management of intercompany funding, bank borrowings, and related financing arrangements.
Preparation and submission of loan applications, including supporting documentation, cash flow forecasts, coordination of legal reviews, and obtaining corporate and board approvals.
Preparation and execution of equity funding requests.
Leading discussions and negotiations with Japan headquarters regarding funding requirements, including multiple rounds of funding reviews and approvals.
Prioritization and allocation of equity funding requirements across various group entities.
Timely processing of manual treasury transactions, including interest payments, loan repayments, and Joint Venture-related payments.
Management of profit distributions within GDC EMEA entities.
Banking & Treasury Operations
Managing relationships with banking partners and serving as the primary point of contact for all operational banking matters, including facilities, limits, significant payments, and sweep arrangements (MT101).
Opening new bank accounts and coordinating all associated KYC and compliance activities.
Supporting treasury-related operational requirements, including corporate credit card onboarding, limit revisions, invoice management, and other ad hoc requests.
Ongoing collaboration with IT teams on treasury initiatives, including cash pool connectivity and banking platform-related matters.
Execution and coordination of extraordinary treasury transactions, including acquisition-related fund transfers.
Governance, Compliance & Audit
Ensuring compliance with J-SOX requirements, including bank reconciliations, bank authorization reviews, and user access controls.
Supporting internal, external, and statutory audits related to treasury activities.
Maintaining robust treasury controls and ensuring compliance with internal policies and governance frameworks.
Stakeholder Management & Strategic Support
Acting as the key liaison between Group Treasury and the EMEA region on matters related to liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, and MUFG cash pool operations.
Responding to financial and operational inquiries from business stakeholders regarding company performance and market trends.
Evaluating investment proposals and funding opportunities to determine alignment with organizational objectives.
Conducting research to identify investment opportunities, financial risks, and emerging market developments.
Recommending process improvements and supporting the development and implementation of treasury, accounting, and financial policies.
