Role Overview
The Engineer – LWH Maintenance will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance activities for vehicles, with a specific focus on fire vehicles and heavy vehicles. The role will involve preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, safety compliance and ensuring vehicle availability with minimum downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance of mechanical equipment, specifically vehicles.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize vehicle downtime.
Ensure proper alignment, balancing, lubrication and calibration of mechanical systems.
Oversee welding, fabrication and mechanical repair activities as required.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
Monitor vehicle/equipment performance using vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication analysis and other predictive maintenance techniques.
Assist in developing and maintaining maintenance SOPs and equipment/vehicle history records.
Execute maintenance activities in compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations and company policies.
Participate in risk assessments, Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes and safety audits.
Monitor spare parts and optimize inventory costs while ensuring availability of critical components.
Support installation, commissioning and testing of new mechanical equipment.
Coordinate with internal teams and service vendors for repair and maintenance activities.
Ensure timely completion of maintenance activities and maintain proper documentation.
