Primary Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and manage a group of electrical and mechanical engineers, managers, and subject matter experts at Lam India performing Product Development activities for Power Box & control boxes for different Product Groups.
Responsible for the research, design, development, modification, and evaluation of our product’s power delivery and distribution system.
Facilitating design approaches and analyzing equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
Interacts with India, Europe and US-based Mechanical & Electrical Engineering managers of different Lam Product Groups in driving results.
Experienced in setting up equipment for experimentation / testing in laboratory environment, setting up safe practices and ensuring safety standards.
Know about different communication protocols, PCBAs, heater controls.
Proven team management, result driver & mentoring experiences.
Being well versed with product life cycle management, Obsolescence management activities.
Mandatory Skills
12+ years’ experience with capital equipment or similar (for e.g., chemical process, medical instrumentation, automotive, aircraft, etc.) industry in power distribution /Power box sub-system design function. 6-8 years of prior experience in managing direct reports consisting of managers, electrical & mechanical engineers working on multiple projects.
Demonstrated experience on power boxes & control boxes in gathering requirements, designing, testing and implementing to high volume manufacturing.
Must have worked on electrical engineering CAD tools like E3 ZUKEN or equivalent CAD packages for circuit design & simulation in his/her carrier.
Strong understanding of different standards and compliances like – NEC, NFPA 79, UL 508A, IEC standards.
Demonstrated leadership skills in decision making and problem solving in absence of complete or accurate data. Experience in situational leadership, conducting appraisal feedback and motivating team in driving business results.
Eligibility Criteria
Master’s in Electrical Engineering with 12-14 years of relevant experience or
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering 14-16 years of relevant experience
Desirable Skills
SEMI Standards knowledge - S2, S8, S22 etc.
Basic Knowledge for electronic circuits, PCBs is a value addition.
Controls and logics (IO controls) – Design & development and troubleshooting
Communication protocols knowledge and troubleshooting with software interfaces

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
