F-15Es. F-35As. Fighter pilots. And your hands helping keep the human weapon system ready to fly.

At RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk, England, you will bring your skill into one of the most consequential fighter communities in Europe, supporting U.S. Air Force fighter aircrew through the Optimizing the Human Weapon System Program.
The mission is extraordinary.
F-15E Strike Eagles. F-35A Lightning IIs. The 48th Operations Group. American combat airpower positioned at the doorstep of Europe.
Your role is focused on the person inside the aircraft.
Long sorties, flight equipment, sustained muscular loading, demanding training schedules, and the physical stress of fighter aviation all take a toll. Your expertise becomes part of the recovery and readiness equation, helping aircrew manage muscular tension, recover effectively, and stay prepared for what comes next.

Job Description:
The Massage Therapist (MT) must possess and maintain an active, current, and unrestricted license or certification from the US jurisdiction where the service is to be provided. MTs provide prehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions in fighter aircrew. As such, the MT shall evaluate and provide massage therapy to fighter aircrew personnel as part of a prehabilitation program. Prehabilitation is intended to strengthen core musculoskeletal (MSK) system to enhance resistance to neck and back injury. Also, healthy lifestyle education is addressed as part of an overall health maintenance program to enhance injury resistance. Such massage therapy as part of an overall program, focusing on neck and back pain, will improve the overall quality of life for fighter aircrew.
Requirements:
MT will have graduated from a MT certification program. The MT will maintain a license or certification from a U.S. state.
MT must have experience working with professional and/or collegiate athletes, or equivalent.
Possess current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.

Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain Secret security clearance.
Other:
Possess oral and written communication skills in order to meaningfully interact with peers, outside agencies, vendors providers and Military Health System (MHS) stakeholders to provide briefings, presentations, research, and develop metrics to demonstrate or advance effective and efficient neck and back pain prevention.
