Senior Planner
As a Senior Planner you will be responsible for developing, coordinating and optimizing integrated production plans to support on-time delivery, inventory targets, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency. This role serves as a key liaison between Supply Chain, Operations, Program Management, Engineering and Procurement to ensure production schedules align with customer commitments, material availability and manufacturing constraints.
Location: Farmingdale, NY
Salary Range: $70,00 - $80,000

Your Challenge
Develops and maintains detailed production schedules, production plans and material requirement lists in accordance with the Master Production Schedule, for products, proposal efforts and/or production processes. Ensures production schedules are aligned with customer demand, contract requirements, and capacity constraints. Coordinates production priorities with manufacturing, procurement, engineering and quality teams to ensure material and resource availability. (25%)
Supports inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining required service levels and production continuity. Reviews and manages shortages, excess inventory, obsolete material, and work-in-process levels. (25%)
Monitors production progress and adjusts schedules in response to changes in demand, supply disruptions, or operational issues. Identifies risks to production timelines and escalates issues to management with proposed mitigation strategies. Collaborates in continuous improvement initiatives related to planning accuracy, cycle times and on-time delivery performance. (25%)
Maintains accurate production planning metrics in ERP systems to support planning and reporting activities. Generates and presents routine reports on production status, schedule adherence and key performance indicators (KPIs). (25%)
What You Bring
Proficient in production planning, scheduling and supply chain principles.
Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
