HMC Products, a division of ProMach, is an industry leader horizontal pouch filling and sealing systems. As Controller, you’ll provide hands-on leadership and management in the areas of accounting and financial reporting and act as a vital strategic partner to the success of the company. This position reports to the division Vice President/General Manager and has dotted line reporting to the Vice President of Finance.Are you passionate about this work?
Be a key business partner to analyze financial and operational results, identify performance drivers and risks, and provide management with actionable insights on profitability, budget performance, and operating effectiveness.
Ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, timely, and prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
Lead the annual budget, periodic forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes in partnership with business leaders.
Oversee contract and order reviews to ensure accurate revenue recognition, documentation, and compliance with ASC 606.
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including cutoff, journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory accounting, financial statement preparation, and timely management reporting.
Maintains fixed asset records of the company, prepares capital expenditure requests and justifications.
Perform job costing analysis to ensure actual costs are accurate and projections accurately forecast the expected outcome of projects in the portfolio.
Partner with the Tax Department to ensure tax compliance and timely, accurate filings.
Provide leadership for maintaining the company’s ERP and other business information systems.
Serve as a strategic finance partner to manufacturing, sales, service, purchasing, engineering, and other functions by evaluating business performance, supporting decisions, and improving financial discipline.
Develop talent through coaching, performance management, and influence across the organization.
Work directly with Shared Service organization for key order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and accounting operations task completion.
Assess financial and operational risks, maintain an effective internal control environment, and lead timely remediation of identified control deficiencies.
Promote profitable growth by balancing financial stewardship, operational support, risk management, and disciplined decision-making.

B.S. in Accounting or Finance
8-10 years’ experience in finance and accounting, strong preference for manufacturing environment
Strong background in financial analysis
Strong computer skills, specifically Excel and Word
Experience with various ERP and software programs (Syteline preferred)
Good written and oral communications skills
Analytical skills to synthesize complex or diverse information, collect and research data, use intuition and experience to complement data and design work flows and procedures
Must be a proven hands-on team player driven to meet company goals

Base Salary Range: $125,000-$145,000; Potential Bonus Opportunity: $30,000 – $35,000
