Organization and Position Overview
Lilly recently announced a $4.5 billion investment to create the Lilly Medicine Foundry, a new center for advanced manufacturing and drug development. The first-ever facility of its kind, combining research and manufacturing in a single location, the Medicine Foundry will allow Lilly to further develop innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and increase capacity for clinical trial medicines, while also reducing costs and environmental impact.
The Laboratory Equipment Support Group (LESG) Scheduler / Planner supports the Laboratory Equipment Support Group (LESG) at the Foundry by coordinating and executing equipment maintenance and asset management activities. This role is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance scheduling, CMMS data integrity, vendor coordination, and maintaining audit-ready equipment documentation in accordance with GMP/GxP and Lilly standards.
Responsibilities
Manage Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) activities for analytical instruments, including asset creation, location assignment, and preventive maintenance configuration.
Plan, schedule, and track preventive and corrective maintenance (PM/CM) work orders to support equipment reliability and laboratory availability.
Maintain accurate and compliant equipment records to support inspections, audits, and equipment lifecycle management.
Coordinate and escort external service providers and vendors to perform equipment service or maintenance activities.
Support equipment lifecycle activities including installation support, moves, modifications, and retirements.
Perform biannual physical inventory of analytical equipment and reconcile discrepancies within CMMS.
Collaborate with LESG Leads, Specialists, Technicians, System Owners, and Lab Operations partners to ensure timely execution of maintenance and scheduling activities.
Basic Requirements:
Associate’s degree in a scientific, engineering, technical, or operations-related field
Experience working with CMMS systems for equipment asset management and maintenance scheduling.
Working knowledge of GMP/GxP regulated laboratories or manufacturing environments.

Additional Preferences:
Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Experience supporting analytical laboratory equipment.
Experience supporting audits, inspections, or regulatory readiness activities.
Ability to work in a laboratory environment requires safe handling of chemicals, wearing appropriate PPE, and understanding other safety-related equipment or considerations.
Demonstrated ability to drive and accept change.
Good interpersonal skills and a sustained tendency for collaboration and teamwork.
Ability to prioritize multiple activities and manage ambiguity for a team.
Ability to work well within a diverse team and provide timely responses to requests/issues.
Knowledge of cGMP compliance requirements for laboratory equipment/instruments.
Experience managing contractors and escorting them

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$66,000 - $154,000
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
