Gigaops is Hiring Firmware Engineer + Audio Domain Exp - Infineon - Bangalore
Role Responsibilities
Design, develop, and debug embedded firmware for audio processing systems using Infineon MCU platforms.
Implement and optimize low-level drivers for peripherals such as I2C, SPI, UART, I2S/TDM, and DMA.
Integrate and tune PDM microphone interfaces for optimal audio signal acquisition and quality.
Conduct acoustic lab measurements and validate voice/audio performance metrics including SNR, THD, latency, and power efficiency.
Collaborate with hardware and system engineers to ensure robust firmware-hardware co-design and debugging.
Analyze and optimize firmware for trade-offs among accuracy, latency, CPU load, memory usage, and power consumption.
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control using industry-standard tools and practices.
Good Embedded C programming knowledge and debugging skills.
Understanding of MCU architecture, low-power modes, peripherals, and real-time behaviour.
Experienced programming with PDM microphones, I2S/TDM, I2C, SPI, UART, DMA, and common MCU interfaces.
Experience in acoustic lab measurements for voice or audio performance is preferred.
Understands trade-offs between accuracy, latency, CPU load, memory usage, and power.
B.Tech in electronics background
