Why This Role Matters
As Telecom Manager, you'll play a critical role in modernizing and scaling telecommunications services across a rapidly growing organization. This position leads the successful delivery of a major RingCentral migration while overseeing the transition of telecom circuits across approximately 170 independent agencies to a managed services provider.
You'll partner closely with agency stakeholders, telecommunications carriers, managed service providers, project managers, and internal technology teams to ensure seamless migrations, reliable operations, and exceptional end-user experiences. Your leadership will directly influence business continuity, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and the long-term success of Patriot's telecom strategy.
Work Arrangement: Remote-first role with occasional travel. Scheduled evening and weekend work is required to support migration activities and production cutovers.
How You'll Make an Impact
Lead the execution of enterprise telecommunications initiatives, including RingCentral migration activities, circuit transitions, carrier coordination, and ongoing telecom operations.
Manage the migration of telecom circuits across approximately 170 independent agencies, ensuring smooth planning, communication, implementation, and post-cutover support.
Coordinate site readiness assessments, number porting, user migration planning, cutovers, issue resolution, and stabilization efforts to minimize business disruption.
Govern relationships with telecom vendors and managed services providers, ensuring strong service delivery, contract compliance, escalation management, and performance outcomes.
Standardize telecom inventories, operational controls, migration runbooks, service catalogs, and lifecycle processes to improve scalability and consistency.
Partner with Finance, Procurement, Infrastructure, Security, Agency Operations, and the PMO to improve cost visibility, resource planning, migration readiness, and operational performance.

What You Bring
Day One:
7+ years of experience in telecom operations, voice platforms, carrier management, network services, telecommunications migrations, or related disciplines.
3+ years of experience managing telecom vendors, carrier relationships, managed services providers, enterprise circuit portfolios, or UCaaS migrations.
Experience managing telecom circuit inventories and lifecycle activities, including orders, disconnects, billing, escalations, and carrier coordination.
Experience planning and executing RingCentral or similar UCaaS platform migrations, including number porting, cutover execution, and post-migration support.
Strong knowledge of telecom carrier services, circuit technologies, voice service delivery, telecom lifecycle governance, and operational support models.
Experience managing managed services provider performance, service delivery, vendor governance, SLAs, and contract adherence.
Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, invoice review, cost controls, savings identification, and telecom expense optimization practices.
Experience leading enterprise migration initiatives, coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing risks and dependencies, and supporting business continuity requirements.
Strong troubleshooting and escalation management experience related to telephony, connectivity, call quality, circuit, and user experience issues.
Experience coordinating after-hours production cutovers and migration activities.
Excellent communication, documentation, planning, and executive reporting skills.
Ability to manage at least one contractor supporting telecom migration and operational activities.
Valuable Additions:
Experience with RingCentral and other leading UCaaS platforms.
Familiarity with telecom inventory management tools, carrier portals, and managed network services operating models.
Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations, or rebranding initiatives.
Experience partnering closely with a PMO on resource planning, dependency management, governance routines, and executive reporting.
Insurance industry experience.
Experience supporting telecom cost reviews, invoice validation, disconnect cleanup, dispute resolution, and savings initiatives.
