Senior Supervisor Quality Control - Dakota City Plant

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for developing, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with quality standards set to guarantee wholesome and quality products.
This will be accomplished by ensuring all Tyson Food Safety and Quality Assurance Policies Procedures are followed; establishing, monitoring, verification, and documentation activities to ensure compliance to product specifications as well as adherence to FSIS and FDA regulations.
Supervise the Quality Systems Management Technicians and lead plant operations to ensure compliance with beef product specifications.
Responsible to work with both in-plant management and external customers to resolve both internal and external customer quality related matters.
Interact with customers and their agents for product showings, plant tours, audits, and visits to customer facilities to resolve product concerns.
Generate relative reports, work cooperatively with plant operations in regards to quality of products to ensure designed Company objectives are met.
This position will also be responsible for selecting and training QSM technicians responsible for monitoring and verification of these systems. This position is responsible for food safety food quality and legality.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in food science related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 2 plus years in FSQA Technical Field Regulatory Compliance Beef Operations Management.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; ability to generate spreadsheets and developing templates for use by Plant Management and Corporate Quality Assurance Sales and Operations.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to correspond with all levels-on-line members to executive management.
Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
Travel: 1 plus trips annually.
