As an Engineering Intern at Apex, you will work alongside experienced engineers, project managers, and technical professionals on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects. This internship provides meaningful hands-on experience, mentorship from industry experts, and exposure to multiple engineering disciplines, including civil, environmental, electrical, transportation, water resources, utilities, land development, and water/wastewater engineering.
Interns will have the opportunity to build technical skills, expand their professional network, and explore potential career paths within a growing consulting organization while contributing to real-world projects that make a lasting impact.
Responsibilities
Assisting with engineering design, analysis, and project documentation.
Supporting field investigations, site visits, inspections, environmental sampling, and data collection efforts.
Preparing calculations, reports, drawings, and other project deliverables.
Utilizing engineering software and technology tools to support project work.
Collaborating with project teams to solve technical challenges and meet project objectives.
Participating in both office and field assignments to gain well-rounded industry experience.
Communicating effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and develop professional engineering skills.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
