Employee Relations Consultant - Bi-lingual
This position is a virtual (remote) position, and the candidate must reside within the Pacific Time Zone in the United States
Must be able to travel up to 20% to California field locations– Tulare, CA; Madera, CA, Turlock, CA; Acampo, CA
The Senior Employee Relations Business Partner provides strategic employee relations guidance and support to California locations and their employees. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and HR partners, leveraging deep expertise in California employment law and workplace policies to navigate complex employee relations matters. The successful candidate is proficient in English and Spanish and excels at managing complex workplace matters, mitigating risk, and driving compliant and consistent outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigations and Compliance
Conduct thorough workplace investigations to gather facts, assess risk, and determine appropriate outcomes
Apply expertise in California employment law to navigate and resolve complex employee relations matters
Lead complex, sensitive, and high-risk workplace investigations, serving as an escalation point, assessing organizational risk, and influencing leaders on appropriate resolutions
Coach leaders through employee relations decisions and investigation outcomes, ensuring alignment with company values, policies, and legal requirements
Collaborate with Labor Relations, Legal, Global Security, and business leaders to navigate complex employee relations matters, assess organizational risk, and drive consistent, compliant outcomes
Provide Consultation and Guidance
Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and HR partners on complex employee relations matters, providing strategic guidance on risk, compliance, and workplace issues
Advise leaders on workplace investigations, performance concerns, and ADA reasonable accommodation requests
Facilitate training and education on Employee Relations topics, investigations, and workplace accommodations
Drive Continuous Improvement
Drive the maturity of the Employee Relations function through process improvement, standardization, implementation of best practices, and enhancement of tools, resources, and capabilities
Analyze case trends, conduct case aftercare, and identify opportunities to strengthen Employee Relations practices, processes, and organizational effectiveness
Required Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
5+ years of Employee Relations, Human Resources, or related experience
Proficiency in both Spanish and English for effective communication required
In-depth knowledge of California employment law
Ability to exercise discretion and manage confidential information
Reside within the Pacific time zone
Ability to travel up to 20% to California field locations
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
5+ years of experience leading workplace investigations
Experience consulting with senior leaders and influencing decision-making on complex, high-risk Employee Relations matters
Experience working in unionized manufacturing, distribution, or production environments
Experience with Employee Relations case management systems (e.g., HR Acuity, NAVEX EthicsPoint, or similar)

Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives through project management, stakeholder engagement, and change management

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Salary range: $93,360 - $140,040 (in most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges)
