JOB SUMMARY
ONEOK is seeking a Supervisor - Measurement Process to support measurement data processing, reporting, close activities, quality assurance, and process improvement within the Natural Gas Processing segment. This leadership role will supervise a team of Measurement Analysts, provide guidance on measurement data processing standards, support timely resolution of system-generated meter exceptions, review missing data estimations for accuracy, and serve as a subject matter expert for escalated Loss and Unaccounted and prior period adjustment items.
This position will play an important role in leading an established team of 11 direct reports and supporting continued integration work following recent acquisitions. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a collaborative leadership style, and the ability to build trust while helping the team maintain consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in measurement processes. Measurement experience is helpful, and candidates should be comfortable working with gas measurement applications, reporting tools, data processing workflows, and cross-functional partners including field technicians, field leadership, balance analysts, customers, regulatory agencies, auditors, and third-party integrators.
The successful candidate will be accountable for employee performance, development, training, compensation review support, budgeting participation, process standardization, change management, customer responsiveness, and special projects as assigned. Job Profile Summary
Supervises Measurement Process Analysts and performs activities related to measurement data processing, reporting, and distribution requirements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Supervise and assist employees performing measurement data processing activities
Ensure timely resolution of system generated exceptions on meters
Quality assurance of all missing data estimations using Spotfire reports for accuracy with appropriate edit reasons
Act as subject matter expert for escalated Loss and Unaccounted (L&U) and prior period adjustment (PPA) for Process Analysts
Compile and prepare reports for internal and external customers concerning various measurement activities as needed
Monitor and assist Process Analysts as needed during the close process
Responsible for Process Analysts:
Employee performance evaluations
Annual Compensation reviews
Participate in budgeting processes
Data processing training
Employee Development
Oversight of all data processing standards and activities to ensure consistent data processing, change management, and training to those standards
Identify areas where business processes can be adjusted to optimize effectiveness and efficiency and develop related recommendations
Respond to and resolve questions from customers, regulatory agencies, third-party integrators, auditors, employees, and others regarding various measurement activities, such as transmission of data and volumetric reports, in a timely and accurate manner in alignment with balance analysts and measurement
Solicit feedback from field technicians and field leadership on data processing methods and interaction with analysts to ensure quality and timely analysis of measurement data
Participate on or manage special projects as assigned
Education
Bachelor's Degree in closely related discipline or related formal education and the following job-related experience
Work Experience
Experience with gas measurement applications such as Flow-Cal and Test-It and familiarity with reporting capabilities
Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and communication applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint programs for reporting and analysis
Experience reading and interpreting reports, budgets, governmental regulations, trade journals, manuals, and correspondence
Experience and/or training related to:
gas measurement methods and standards
gas measurement applications such as Pgas, Flow-Cal, WINCCU
integration processes
Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system
Experience reading and interpreting reports, budgets, governmental regulations, trade journals, manuals, and correspondence
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of: natural gas processing, gathering, transmission, storage, and distribution businesses
Ability to: monitor and analyze gas measurement information via graphs or reports and experience with various customer flow pattern types
Ability to: work with gas measurement data processing workflow requirements
Ability to: develop information and make presentations to groups and individuals
Ability to: apply math and algebraic formulas used in spreadsheet applications
Ability to: monitor and evaluate work processes, identify areas of concern, and initiate appropriate action
