Job summary:
Acrisure is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to support a large and growing book of commercial insurance business. This role will partner closely with an established Producer and serve as a primary point of contact for clients, managing day-to-day service needs, renewals, carrier relationships, and overall client retention.
This is a client service and relationship management position, not a sales or production role. The Account Manager will focus on maintaining strong client relationships, delivering responsive service, coordinating renewals, and helping clients navigate their commercial insurance needs throughout the policy lifecycle.
This opportunity is well suited for an experienced commercial insurance professional who enjoys working directly with clients, solving problems, coordinating with carriers and underwriters, and serving as a trusted insurance resource without the responsibilities of a traditional producer role.
Candidates must be able to work from our Glendale, California or Towson, Maryland location.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for an assigned portfolio of commercial insurance clients
Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, responsive service, and consistent follow-through
Manage policy changes, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, and other account servicing activities
Coordinate the commercial insurance renewal process from initial preparation through completion
Gather underwriting information, loss runs, exposure data, applications, and other documentation needed for renewals and account servicing
Partner closely with the Producer to support client retention and long-term account relationships
Work directly with carriers, underwriters, and internal teams to obtain coverage information and support renewal strategies
Review policies, endorsements, and other coverage documents for accuracy and completeness
Assist clients with coverage questions and clearly explain policy provisions, coverage changes, and renewal recommendations
Identify service issues or account needs and coordinate appropriate solutions with internal and external partners
Maintain accurate and timely account documentation within agency management systems
Partner with internal service, marketing, claims, and underwriting teams to support client needs
Assist with billing inquiries and other policy-related questions
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Requirements:
5+ years of commercial insurance experience required
Experience managing or servicing commercial insurance accounts highly beneficial
Strong understanding of commercial lines insurance coverages, policy servicing, and renewal processes
Experience working directly with commercial insurance clients required
Experience working with insurance carriers, underwriters, and producers
Strong client relationship management and retention skills
Ability to explain insurance coverage, policy changes, and account recommendations clearly to clients
Experience managing renewals and coordinating multiple account activities and deadlines
Commercial auto, transportation, or trucking insurance experience beneficial
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple client relationships, renewals, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office applications
Education and licenses:
Active Property & Casualty license required
Bachelor's degree beneficial
Professional insurance designations such as CIC, CISR, CRM, ARM, or CPCU beneficial

Pay Details:
The base compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
