Sr Specialist, Talent Development

The purpose of this role is to design, develop, implement, and evaluate complex learning solutions that improve employee performance and support organizational objectives. As a senior individual contributor, this position leads instructional design for high-impact instructor-led, virtual, blended, and digital learning initiatives. The role partners with business leaders, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders to identify performance needs and recommend effective learning and non-learning solutions. Success requires strong instructional design expertise, advanced eLearning development skills, business acumen, and the ability to create scalable programs that drive measurable results.
Lead the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of complex learning solutions, curricula, and performance support tools.
Conduct performance consulting engagements to identify business needs, analyze performance gaps, and recommend appropriate learning or performance solutions.
Design and develop instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, blended learning programs, eLearning, microlearning, job aids, and performance support resources.
Create engaging digital learning experiences utilizing advanced authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Vyond, and related learning technologies.
Manage instructional design projects from initiation through evaluation, ensuring deliverables meet quality, timeline, and stakeholder expectations.
Partner with subject matter experts, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment to business objectives.
Develop learning strategies, curricula, and development pathways that support employee capability, operational excellence, and organizational growth.
Analyze learner feedback, business metrics, and learning effectiveness data to evaluate impact and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Serve as a senior resource and mentor to instructional designers and learning professionals by providing guidance, coaching, best practices, and quality review support.
Support the implementation and enhancement of instructional design standards, templates, development processes, and quality assurance practices.
Collaborate with external vendors and partners on learning development projects as needed.
Stay current on adult learning theory, instructional design practices, learning technologies, and industry.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
Master's Degree, certification, or equivalent advanced education preferred
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in instructional design, learning experience design, learning program development, or related field
Experience designing and developing both instructor-led and digital learning solutions
Experience leading complex instructional design projects involving multiple stakeholders
Experience conducting needs assessments, performance analysis, and learning evaluations Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Advanced knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional systems design methodologies, and performance consulting practices
Expertise in instructional design frameworks including ADDIE, SAM, and related design models
Advanced proficiency with eLearning authoring and multimedia development tools, including Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise), Camtasia, and similar technologies
Strong curriculum architecture and program design capabilities
Knowledge of learning measurement, evaluation methodologies, and learning analytics
Experience developing learning for diverse delivery modalities including classroom, virtual, blended, and self-paced digital learning
Familiarity with learning management systems and digital learning ecosystems (Workday Learning preferred)
Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and OneDrive
Knowledge of accessibility standards and quality assurance practices for learning solutions
