Role Overview
As a Nurse Assistant Apprentice, you¿ll play a vital role in supporting Registered Nurses (RNs) and licensed clinicians to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients. This role is essential in providing hands-on patient care, assisting in care planning, and responding to emergent situations. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of care our patients receive, making this a meaningful and impactful position within our healthcare team.

What You Will Do
Perform specific patient care duties under the direction of an RN or licensed clinician to meet safety and comfort needs.
Provide input to assist in planning and implementing patient care.
Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
Participate in continuing education to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Uphold the Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Enrollment in the HFHS Department of Labor (DOL) approved Nurse Assistant Apprenticeship Program.
Ability to read, write, and understand verbal and written instructions.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to lift, carry, transfer, and move patients as needed.
Completion of BLS Heart Saver Certification during the apprenticeship program.
