Senior Business Systems Analyst (InEight)

Our Technology Solutions group is currently looking to add a Senior Business Systems Analyst (InEight) to our growing team, based in Edmonton, AB.
Reporting to the Director, AI & Business Transformation, we are seeking an experienced business systems professional with hands-on InEight construction project controls platform experience to own the platform's technical side. Working alongside the Project Manager for the InEight rollout, this position is the lead technical expert across all of InEight's modules; configuring, testing, and supporting the system as it expands across the business. It will also be expected to pick up ownership of other business applications over time as our systems portfolio grows.
Please Note: This position will require occasional travel between Valard's Edmonton and Calgary offices (up to 10% of time).
Duties and Responsibilities
Own the technical/application side of InEight end to end for the life of the platform: initial rollout of new modules, ongoing configuration, and the changes and platform support that follow, working in partnership with the InEight module business owners rather than in place of them. Once a module is established, routine user setup moves to the support team; training and onboarding new teams stays in scope
Serve as the lead technical expert across all InEight modules, handling configuration and testing alongside Valard's project manager for the InEight rollout
Work with Valard's integrations team to help understand and scope InEight's data and integration requirements, translating business and process needs into what each integration actually needs to do
Act as the primary point of contact for InEight across the business, answering questions from project teams, business leads, and the technology steering committee directly
Help shape the sequencing and design of InEight's module rollout
Take on ownership of additional business applications as they come up: this seat is expected to grow beyond InEight, not stay boxed to it
Rapidly build proficiency across InEight's full module set (Schedule, Document, Control, Plan, Progress, and others as they roll out), including starting from limited experience in a given module
Requirements
Hands-on experience configuring or administering InEight
Experience with a comparable construction/EPC platform (e.g. Procore, Aconex), in an IT administrator or implementation capacity, not just as an end user, may be considered
Background in a technical or IT-facing role (e.g. business systems analyst, application support, systems/platform administration, or software implementation)
Experience running UAT and training sessions with non-technical users, and translating business needs into system requirements
Proven ability to take at least one module or platform from configuration through testing and UAT to go-live
Demonstrated experience with IT change management, access governance, and documentation standards
Experience with AI tools like Claude (for configuration, documentation, and testing)
