Job Purpose/ Summary
Lead the Banking & Treasury team across Welspun group entities to deliver accurate and timely cash operations, payments, bank reconciliations, and liquidity reporting, with strong internal controls, SLA adherence, and continuous process automation.
Job Description
The Banking & Treasury Team Lead will be responsible for managing end-to-end banking and treasury operations across Welspun group entities, ensuring efficient cash management, payment processing, bank reconciliations, liquidity monitoring, and working capital optimization. The role involves overseeing SAP payment execution, fund transfers, debt servicing, banking relationships, compliance with treasury policies and internal controls, and governance of bank accounts and user access. The incumbent will collaborate with Finance, AP, AR, R2R, and banking partners to resolve operational issues, drive automation and process improvements, monitor SLAs and KPIs, prepare treasury MIS and cash flow reports, and lead team development through training, SOP management, and continuous capability building while ensuring audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Lead daily banking and treasury operations including payment processing fund transfers intercompany funding and cash positioning across multiple legal entities and banksbrEnsure timely and accurate bank balances with aging investigation and closure of open items within defined timelinesbrOversee SAP payment runs and hosttohostbank portal transactions ensuring dual authorization DOA compliance and segregation of dutiesbrMonitor daily liquidity and cash forecasts supporting optimal cash utilization investment of surplus funds and working capital planningbrSupport management of borrowings debt servicing interest and bank charges accounting and tracking of covenants bank guarantees and LCsbrEnsure compliance with treasury policies IFC controls banking regulations and audit requirements acting as the point of contact for statutory and internal audit queriesbrMaintain governance over bank master data signatory mandates and bank portal user access with periodic reviews to prevent fraud and unauthorized transactionsbrManage banking relationships including pricing negotiations facility renewals and annual review of bank chargesspreadsbrImplement cash pooling and sweep structures across group entities to optimize group liquiditybrGovern new bank account openingsclosures including KYC and regulatory documentationbrCoordinate with Business Finance AP AR R2R and banking partners to resolve operational issues and escalations within SLAbrDrive process improvements and automation initiatives such as payment workflow automation and cash forecasting tools to improve accuracy and turnaround timebrTrack SLAs and KPIs and prepare daily cash reports MIS and management dashboards for Finance leadershipbrTrain mentor and develop team members ensuring SOPs and desk manuals are up to date and build backup coverage for critical activities
