The Temporary Corporate Partnerships & Activation Assistant supports Cornell Athletics’ Corporate Partnerships team in developing and activating relationships with current and prospective partners. The position will focus on community-based business development, including identifying and engaging prospective local businesses, supporting outreach and relationship-building efforts, coordinating meetings, and assisting with the execution of partnership activations. The position will also provide administrative and scheduling support to help maximize the time of senior staff and advance partnership opportunities.
This is a temporary, casual position expected to work fewer than 19 hours per week through December 31, 2026. The schedule will vary based on operational needs, with an anticipated pay rate of approximately $25–$27 per hour.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in customer service, sales, marketing, business development, event operations, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with businesses, community members, and internal partners.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, follow up on opportunities, and maintain accurate records.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
Ability to represent Cornell Athletics professionally in community and business settings.
Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in developing relationships with businesses and community organizations.
Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications.
Experience modeling values that support inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in sales, corporate partnerships, sponsorships, marketing, fundraising, or business development.
Experience working with local businesses or community organizations.
Experience supporting events, sponsorship activations, or customer engagement initiatives.
Experience using CRM, ticketing, email marketing, or other customer relationship management systems.
Familiarity with collegiate or professional athletics and the corporate partnership landscape.
Experience conducting in-person outreach or representing an organization at community events.
