Job Description Summary
We are hiring for a Director, Strategic Business Planning leader to drive enterprise initiatives, organizational change, and process improvement across multiple business functions in our Retirement product line. This role partners closely with business, PMO, and IT teams to support execution of prioritized projects, manage complex dependencies, oversee governance frameworks, and ensure successful execution of high-impact programs. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in strategic planning, cross-functional leadership, stakeholder communication, and large-scale project delivery, with a proven ability to influence outcomes, solve complex challenges, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Job Description
Responsibilities
Champion organizational change and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration and customer service excellence.
Resource team members to strategic business initiatives.
Facilitate the project portfolio management execution in partnership with cross functional teams, including resource alignment to project prioritization, business case development, and resource planning.
Manage interdependencies and critical path business requirements and User Acceptance Testing across initiatives, supporting risk management, issue escalation/resolution, scope change and implementation planning.
Manage the Business Analyst and Product Owner assignments on strategic initiatives; lead and implement process improvements within the project execution including lessons learned and actions and tracking actions for improved execution.
Continually seek program process improvements.
Define and direct formal communication methods and establish open and consistent communication with all levels within the organization. Facilitate inter-program communication as needed to bring leadership awareness and understanding of execution and quality risks.
Provide direction and define, catalog and implement business analyst and product owner tools and governance.
Direct and oversee activities of process improvement initiatives within the program; hold teams accountable for meeting goals and objectives.
Direct problem resolution, decision making, communications and other associated activities during all phases of large and complex projects using a pro-active and constructive approach.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a business related field or equivalent experience.
Ten years of strategic planning experience, including five years managing complex multisystem and/or multiple department projects.
Experience utilizing interviewing/negotiation skills; coordinating and facilitating small and large group meetings; utilizing planning/organization skills and techniques; managing multiple priorities and project staff; and utilizing analysis and problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization to guide in strategic planning fundamentals and plan execution.
Proficiency using MS Office and project development/management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Expert level skills relating to project management theory, tools and practice.
Change management and training experience.
Strong technical background and experience with SDLC

Compensation
The Salary for this position generally ranges between $130,000 - $170,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days in office per week in one of our hub locations. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
