Protective Security Specialist

If you are an experienced protective specialist with sharp judgment, strong situational awareness, and the ability to deliver close protection in armed and unarmed settings, this is your opportunity to join the Fossa Program, our executive protection team.
What You Will Do
Conduct protective details in close proximity to the principal.
Provide secure transportation of clients and assets while operating a vehicle safely and defensively.
Assess risk, identify threats, and put practical protective measures in place before problems develop.
Patrol designated areas and control access points, verifying identification and admitting only authorized personnel.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and security systems to detect and respond to suspicious activity.
Respond quickly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when needed.
Carry, maintain, and employ firearms safely and responsibly.
Administer first aid and trauma care within your scope of practice.
Document incidents and observations accurately and on time. Provide court testimony when required.
Deliver professional client service while enforcing security protocols and company policy consistently.
Protect sensitive client information with strict confidentiality.
Schedule
Irregular hours, travel, and changing environments come with the job. Details follow the principal's schedule, which can shift with little notice. We work to support work-life balance where possible while meeting client demands.
Who We Are Looking For
Minimum 5 years of security experience, with at least 3 years in an armed role.
Prior executive protection or close protection experience.
Valid state-issued armed security license (OR DPSST and/or WA DOL).
Valid Concealed Handgun License for each state where you operate, or a license with reciprocity.
Valid state-issued driver's license with clean driving record.
Firearms qualification above OR DPSST and WA CJTC minimums. Candidates below the company internal standard may be considered for unarmed assignments only until proficiency is met.
Pass a company-administered physical fitness assessment.
Strong situational awareness and the ability to make sound decisions quickly under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication, composure, and professionalism with clients and high-profile principals.
Proven trustworthiness, integrity, and discretion.
Flexibility to handle irregular hours, travel, and unexpected changes.
Attendance at quarterly in-house training through the Training Program.
A background in law enforcement or the military is strongly preferred. Formal executive protection, defensive tactics, advanced firearms, and medical training (First Aid/CPR/BLS, TCCC, TECC, TacMed) are highly valued.
