How you will make contributions that matter:
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our team at our site in Kiewa. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical systems across our production facilities.
You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced dairy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production & processing equipment
Diagnosing and repair mechanical faults while ensuring compliance with food safety standards to support production priorities
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades ​
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with WHS, GMP, and HACCP requirements
Accurately document maintenance activities using SAP (training provided)
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to drive equipment reliability and process improvements
Contribute to a culture of food safety, ensuring maintenance practices consistently meet regulatory & business standards
Skills & Experience:
Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter with experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Comfortable working a 4 on and 4 off roster, and 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night).
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and process systems.
Experience in dairy or food manufacturing (highly regarded).
Positive attitude toward digital systems and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
