The Role of the Senior Soft Services Manager
Based at our Philippines Technology Campus in Batangas province and reporting directly to the Philippines Head of Facilities, this role will own the strategy, development, and execution of all Soft Services programming to ensure all work spaces across Campus meet our best-in-class standards and regulatory protocols. Critical to success in this role will be strong organization, business strategy, people development, and management skills. The Senior Soft Services Manager will proactively engage with stakeholders and lead a dedicated team to provide workplace solutions to meet ambitious organisational targets while promoting user experience and engagement across diverse business units.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Programs & Strategy: Design and deliver the long-term strategy for Soft Services at the Philippines Technology Campus including but not limited to:
Catering
Events Management
Housekeeping
Transportation
Waste Management & Sustainability
Reception & Mail Services
Fitness & Wellness
Help Desk & Site Services
Site utilization & planning
Workplace Communications
Storage Management
Supply Management & Forecasting
Technical Expertise Areas:
Ability to run and deliver multiple RFPs on an annual basis, ensuring best value for service performance in all areas. Lead end to end vendor sourcing, contract negotiations, renewals, and performance reviews for all Soft Services suppliers/programs.
Familiarity with compliance and applicable health, safety, and food handling regulations.
Business casing & executive reporting proficiency
Support troubleshooting of complex technical problems and provide suitable solutions. Coherently present solutions and justify the resources required
Identify and propose innovative new approaches and models for the delivery of key workplace improvement activities
Leadership Capabilities:
Lead and direct the Soft Services team to ensure all workplace related requirements are delivered on time, on budget, and with maximum value to the business
Coach the internal & external Soft Services teams through the required business casing and governance processes, supporting with securing the necessary approvals before any works are commenced.
Lead the training and development of the Soft Services team, engendering a culture of continuous professional development and excellence
Create an environment of best practices and lessons learnt sharing, as well as standardise work processes and procedures to ensure consistency and reliability
Be the single point of contact for PTC Soft Services leadership related items, providing consistent, accurate updates to the Estates & Facilities LT team for onward communication to Dyson Executives
Represent the Soft Services team, vendors, and programs to local Philippines stakeholders to ensure business needs are met holistically
Budget Management:
Own all Soft Services spending, including but not limited to: creating spend forecasts, tracking actual spends against forecast, developing mitigation strategies to ensure performance to budget, and ensuring all necessary approvals are received prior to spend commencement
Work closely with HR and other BPs to proactively predict workforce changes and net-new needs to ensure budgets can be adapted according to business use cases
Review, interrogate, and justify Capex and Opex requests from the business, advocating for cost efficiency at all times
Collaboration & Business Partnership
Collaborate with other functions to meet Security, Safety, Environmental, and Health & Safety compliance standards
Effectively coordinate activities with local stakeholders and business unit partners to ensure smooth delivery, transparency, and consistency
Act as an advisor and advocator of effective industry practices and best-in-class practices. Influence partners & stakeholders to support meaningful investments with lasting business benefit.
