Manager, Student Disability and Accessibility

As an experienced, strategic and innovative leader, you will drive the delivery of specialist disability and accessibility services across the University.
Play a pivotal leadership role within Student Wellbeing and Accessibility, driving excellence in service delivery, strengthening accessibility and inclusion outcomes, and ensuring students with disability receive timely, consistent and student-centred support.
In this key role, you will
Lead a multidisciplinary team, overseeing the development, implementation and continuous improvement of disability and accessibility services across the University.
Provide expert advice on disability inclusion, accessibility, reasonable adjustments, governance and compliance, while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
A key focus will be leading the next phase of service transformation by building contemporary, efficient and sustainable systems and processes that support consistent practice, effective workload management, quality reporting and service excellence.
You will leverage data, technology, evaluation and sector insights to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline service delivery and enhance outcomes for students.
Working closely with academic and professional staff, you will help identify and address barriers to participation, access and success, while supporting strategic University-wide accessibility initiatives and ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, policy and funding requirements.

Are an experienced and values-led leader with a strong understanding of disability support in the higher education sector, including reasonable adjustments, accessibility practice, and the Higher Education Disability Support Program.
Bring a systems-focused, improvement-oriented approach, sound judgement, and the ability to lead teams, strengthen service delivery, and work effectively with stakeholders across the University.
Bring sound judgement, confident stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to lead through complexity.
Are comfortable working at both strategic and operational levels: supporting University-wide accessibility initiatives, advising senior stakeholders, overseeing reporting and compliance requirements, and ensuring students receive timely, consistent and student-centered support.
Lived experience of disability is highly valued.
What we offer
This is a full time, continuing position and you may be primarily based at either Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) or Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Salary Range
The full-time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 9: $137,165 – $142,070 p.a. + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be $160,483 – $166,222 per annum.
Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably at postgraduate level, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
