Role: Principal Python Developer

Experience: 5 – 11 years
Education:
Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3) (B. Tech preferred)
Python Certification (Good to have).
Job Role
Principal Python Developer with deep expertise in Azure Function App development, deployment, and optimization. This role is pivotal in designing and delivering scalable, event-driven serverless solutions on Microsoft Azure, integrating with enterprise systems, APIs, and cloud-native services. This role will lead architecture decisions, mentor developers, and collaborate cross-functionally to build resilient, secure, and high-performance applications.
Skills:
5 to 10 years of professional Python development experience
5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Function Apps and serverless architecture
Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, multithreading, and event-driven design
Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, YAML pipelines
Familiarity with containerization (Docker), API gateways, and message queues
Expertise in securing cloud applications (OAuth2, RBAC, Key Vault, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Responsibilities:
Design & Architecture
Architect serverless solutions using Azure Functions, Event Grid, Service Bus, Logic Apps, and Durable Functions
Define best practices for Python-based microservices and event-driven architecture
Lead design reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise cloud strategy
Development & Deployment
Develop robust Python applications using Azure SDKs, REST APIs, and third-party integrations
Experience with Python frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django in cloud environments
Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
Optimize cold start performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of Function Apps
Cloud Integration
Integrate Azure Functions with Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Key Vault, App Configuration, and other Azure services
Implement secure authentication and authorization using Azure AD and Managed Identities
Monitoring & Optimization
Set up observability using Application Insights, Log Analytics, and custom telemetry
Perform performance tuning, memory management, and error handling strategies
Leadership & Mentorship
Guide junior developers and review code for quality, security, and maintainability
Collaborate with DevOps, Automation Engineering, and Security teams to ensure seamless delivery
